Description and Goals:
Students manipulate pattern block shapes and arrange them to fill the area of the animal outlines. They begin to estimate and analyze how to make the blocks fit completely within the shapes. Once completed, students can also count the number of pattern blocks used, sort the blocks used and create a small graph, and compare with a classmate which pattern blocks shapes they were able to use.
