Homework

  • Nightly Readers
Each night (Monday-Thursday), your child will be expected to check out  one book from our classroom library to share at home.  Most of the books will be those that a family member will need to read aloud to them. Books are due back to our EDK class the next day.  Once a child returns a book, he/she may check out a new one!

  • Home Literacy Kits
Your child will have the opportunity to take home a packet of books, materials, and related activities for you and your family to work on together during a one week time period. Students will be able to choose a literacy kit approximately one time per month.

  • Review Needed Skills
Take a few minutes each day to help reinforce skills that your child needs extra practice with whether it be cutting, coloring, letter sounds, oral counting, tying shoes, memorizing home information, etc.  A little practice at home each night goes a long way!

Important Dates

Nightly Readers:  Please continue to read the book each evening with your child.  Students are so excited to be taking home books that they get to choose!

Literacy Kits:
Starting this month, students are bringing home a literacy kit to share for one week each month.  Enjoy!

Continue to review  shapes and the names of letters with your child.
